Lo Man Kam Wing Chun Kung Fu classes at Covina, C.A. host by Sifu Troy Lopez who began martial arts at a young age of nine, studying such arts as Wushu Kung-Fu, and Shotokan Karate. He continued with these arts until 1996, when he joined the U.S army at the age of 18. During his time in the military he trained in boxing and was introduced to Wing Chun Kung-Fu by a fellow soldier.

In the year 2000, Sifu Troy trained with U.S. Special Forces units in order to aid hand to hand combat for deployed soldiers.  Such training combined with his many real life experiences while deployed to such areas as Bosnia, Kosovo, and Kuwait led him to assist in the instruction of hand to hand combat with Local authorities in Germany for years to come.

It was there in 2003 when he left the military that Sifu Troy began studying Lo Man Kam Wing Chun Kung-Fu under the tutelage of Sifu Renardo Reed, a 1st generation student of Master Lo Man Kam.  Sifu Renardo Reed introduced Sifu Troy to many other 1st generation students of Master Lo Man Kam in order to further enhance his wing chun, as well as Master Lo Man Kam’s son, Gorden Lu, and eventually many opportunities to train with Master Lo Man Kam himself.

Sifu Troy spent much of his time in private training with Sifu Renardo Reed.  He also assisted in the Wing Chun instruction for his classes and seminars in Germany.  In April of 2005, Sifu Troy aided in Master Lo Man Kam’s instruction of Combat Tactics to the United States armed forces Europe.  He also assisted in the instruction of Master Lo Man Kam’s Combat Tactics once again in September for German Police units.

More recently in January, Sifu Troy has trained at his home with Sifu Gorden Lu in California. During this time, Sifu Troy completed instructor training.  This was an intense series of training which covered the entire Lo Man Kam curriculum.

As a member of the Lo Man Kam Wing Chun Federation out of Taiwan, Sifu Troy has opened up a Lo Man Kam Wing Chun school in Covina C.A..  Here, he continues to seek advice from other Federation members, Sifu Gorden Lu and Master Lo Man Kam so that he may continue to teach strong, quality Lo Man Kam Wing Chun to students of all ages, and from all parts of the United States.

Sifu Troy recognizes those who have helped him increasingly develop both physically and mentally.  Of course, Master Lo Man Kam and his son Sifu Gorden Lu.  First generation students of Master Lo Man Kam: Marc Debus, Olaf Buschke, Andreas Zerndt, and Klaus Jeske.  Finally, Sifu Renardo Reed who Sifu Troy believes offered him everything he had to offer and guided him on the path to open his school in Covina, C.A.
